DrDave’s Race Day Cookies

 

 

 

1 8 oz. Hershey Bar (use blender to grate)

Baking powder

Brown sugar

Rolled oatmeal *

Salt

Soft butter

Vanilla

Ghirardelli ss choc chips

cup

Nestles ss mini choc chips

cup

Cream the butter and both sugars add eggs and vanilla.

 

Mix flour, oatmeal, salt, baking powder, and baking soda.

 

Fold everything together using a mixer in a large bowl.

 

Add chocolate chips and Hershey Bar.

 

 

 

Roll into a log in foil or wax paper then refrigerate.

 

 

Cut 1” thick by 1” dia. slugs and place two inches apart on a cookie sheet.

I use an insulated cookie sheet to prevent burning of chips.

 

Bake for 11 min. at 350 deg.  Remove, even though they may not look done.

 

OR

 

 

Brownies, Bake for 30-40 min. at 350 deg in a Baking Dish.

 

*Measure oatmeal then blend in a blender to a fine powder.
